This is a great place to hold up for the night when you're traveling. The management is nice and the rooms are very very clean and beautiful. It was about 10 at night. Me and my daughter were very very tired from traveling. The lady owner was very sweet. I highly recommend that if you drive through Childress stop there if you need a place to sleep and I highly recommend this place.

I stayed here for 6 weeks due to work assignment. Older rooms with no amenities or upgrades BUT great for the price. Nita & Junior are very nice and accommodating. As far as Ashley’s comment from 6 months ago about someone trying to break into the bathroom window..HOGWASH! Bathroom window is only big enough for maybe a toddler to fit through. Therefore why would a grown person even attempt to? I slept most nights with the window open as I like fresh air. I recommend if on a budget.

Awesome deal! Great and big room. Very clean and really nice linens. Don't be deterred by the outside brick appearance. I like the small windows and sense of privacy. Feels very safe and I wish more places along my trip were like this. 2 Adults/ 2 Kids

Bad Experience. I was traveling with my baby and decided to stop here because it was the cheapest in town. The place is owned by a family, and at first the lady of the family was very nice. I settled into my room, which did have a scent, and checked to make sure windows and doors were locked before bed. I noticed that the bathroom window was left unlocked and I locked it. I left the bathroom light on as a night light for my baby. As I was dozing off, I heard a rattle on the window in the bathroom. I went to see what was happening, and saw a person trying to break into my room through the window. I got very frightened by this, and I started video chat with my husband through my phone. My husband was recording the conversation as I was quickly packing my things, just in case anything happened. I went back to look if the stranger was still outside the bathroom window, and no one was there anymore. My husband suggested that I called the police or speak to the front office. With my first initial impression of the lady, I decided to leave out the police drama and prevent her a bad review because of this stranger. I understood that they are a "mom and pop" shop, and figured they would appreciate me for this. With the stranger gone, I felt safe enough to leave the room and speak to the front desk. I told the lady about my experience, and I can say for certain that I did this very sweetly and was civil. The lady responded to me that I was just "seeing things." I told her I wanted to stay somewhere else, again, very nicely, and she gave me another key to a different room instead of a refund. Meanwhile, she knows I'm on video chat with my husband, and she states that the area is so safe so she leaves the windows unlocked, and there's no way someone could get in the rooms because its blocked off. I leave without a refund. As I was pulling out, I quickly noticed that she lied to me because there was a dark unlit alley outside all the bathroom windows that was very accessible. I head towards Days Inn where I had a great experience. I returned in the morning, and requested my refund. The lady said she could not do this because she reserved a room for me, however, there was around 20 empty rooms available. She also stated that she doesn't know if I actually stayed in her motel room; even though I had a Day's Inn receipt. I kept a very calm, civil, and sweet attitude towards her, even though she started to become very rude, talking over me, not listening to me, and loud. I finally let it go, and left. I decided when I made it home to report this, because I would hate for another person to be in the same position that I was in. Where I paid for a room I didn't stay in at a unsecured motel with my baby, and became terrified because a stranger tried to break into my room. It was horrible, and I'm glad I made it out of that situation okay. Thankfully I was awake when the event took place. Before contacting law enforcement, I attempted one last time to see if the lady would be civil, mature, and treat me nicely as I was treating her, and refund me for the room since I didn't stay at her facility. She said "I've been doing this for years! Do what you gotta do! I never said I leave the windows unlocked!" (Even though I have a recording of that due to my husband's video chat with me.) I had in no way been speaking to her aggressively, just with kindness. As she became more aggressive, I said, "unfortunately, since you are unable to speak to me in a civil and non-aggressive manner, even though I've been very understanding and kind with you, I can no longer have this conversation with you." Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she responds to this post aggressively. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I contacted law enforcement to file a report. I'm sure the lady felt she had to defend herself because of her "mom and pop" shop and little business, it just didn't have to be aggressive since I was nice to her, also, my safety was at risk which explains her huge defense mechanism. This post is in hopes that no one else experiences this. Good Luck

Older but i slept great. Staff was very nice.

BTW - the bathroom window is a very small square window and feels safe.
